10,000 people can be wrong
The Verge have run an excellent interview with the New York Times David Carr. Carr covers media for the Times and his considerable critical skills and healthy raised eye-brow are on full display here. He covers quite a bit including the need to cultivate one’s feed on twitter (and social in general) in order to maintain a healthy information diet. It’s one of the backbones of modern media literacy and something I’d always advise to anyone who’s first coming to the likes of twitter to do (few people I know get much value out of following thousands, anyone who claims otherwise is purely focused on self-promotion)
